Foster
Care Clothing Drive
|
|
 ABO has joined up with one of our patients, Heather Bond, to
help her with her Girl Scout project. Heather is coordinating a
clothing drive to help the Foster Association provide clothing for
children that are placed in foster care. There are approximately
2,000 foster children in our area as of January 2009. When these
children are taken into foster care, often all they take with them is the
clothes they are wearing. The state used to provide $20,000.00 a
year to the Foster Association to provide one set of clothing, pj’s, shoes, socks, and
undergarments. It now provides NO money at all! PLEASE help
us in donating new or gently used items to help make this transition a
little easier for all. Please note that any size of clothes is
appreciated but there is a high need for boys sizes 4-6 and infant sizes
0-6 months. All undergarments and socks must be new. Our
patients will receive 5 points on their Swipe ‘n Smile card for
participating and their name will be put into a drawing to win a $50.00
gift card to Jefferson Pointe. We will be collecting items through
the end of May, which just happens to be National Foster Care Month.

Lucky
Charm Contest Winners
|
|
 Our
spring contest involved guessing the number of marshmallows in the jar
full of Lucky Charms cereal. There were 613 marshmallows
in the jar. (That was a family size box, by the way.) Our
winner in the Fort Wayne office was Daniel Stahlhut and in the Huntington
office was William Borland. Enjoy spending your prize money!

to Kelly, one of our clinic assistants, as we celebrate the anniversay of
her 20 years of service to this practice! We truly appreciate
her skills, sense of humor, dedication and charm. She has been such

 We
are now offering a new, fun treasure hunt on the angelabecker.com
website. Every month will feature a new "treasure"
(April's is an Easter egg) that is hidden somewhere on one of the
pages. To find the treasure, go to "Fun Focus" and find
out what it is, then go on the hunt. Once you find the
treasure just click on it and your name will automatically go into a
monthly drawing to earn 5 extra swipe points on your Swipe n' Smile

Method of Payment

 In
addition to accepting Visa and Mastercard, we are now accepting Discover
and American Express. Payments can be made in person, over the
phone or on-line for your convenience. Plus, if you would like, we
can arrange for automatic payments from your credit or debit cards.
Just talk to one of our friendly staff members and they would be happy to
assist you.

Busy
Spring Schedules
|
|
 Spring is a busy
time of the school year with the addition of the Spring I-Steps, sports
practices and events, field trips, final exams, etc. so please be sure to
check your calendars when scheduling your orthodontic appointments. Also,
you may want to check with your child’s school to see if any snow days
need to be made up or if the original final day of school is still the
same. If you discover there will be a conflict and your child will
not be able to keep their scheduled appointment, please contact our
office immediately to reschedule.

Perfect
Time for a Portrait
|
|
  Now is the
perfect time to schedule an appointment for your (or your child’s)
portrait to be taken. Dr. Becker generously provides the sitting
fee and a 5 x 7" portrait for patients who have recently had
their braces removed with CK Photography. Chris, from CK
Photography, will meet you at various locations (Foster Park is an
absolutely gorgeous background!!!) and take your photo. We will
then receive a photo to proudly display in our office and you can
customize your order. You can go to our website,
angelabecker.com, and preview some of the photos that have already been
taken. If you have misplaced your photo certificate, please call
